Common Debate Topics
THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
This section is designed to help you stick up for animal rights when you're talking to others. It's so that when they say "Well what about this?" you have something to come back at them with and answer all of their questions (and often, counter their attacks) concerning animal rights.
But lets make something clear, now PAY ATTENTION:
Vegans and animal rights activists are a minority in this society. Logically, one person does not encapsulate the opinions and details of a group at large---often known as the hasty generalization logical fallacy. But people unfortunately commit this fallacy all the time, and when there are very few people to base your opinion on, a little bad exposure can create a negative persona for the entire group. This is why corporations are extremely particular on who they choose to act as a representative for their company.
When you discuss animal rights, because we are the minority, you are representing all of us.
How you handle each situation will define how most people view all vegans and the animal rights movement as a whole.
This is why it is VITAL that whenever you are discussing animal rights you MUST remain calm, polite, and HAVE YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!
Don't be "the crazy vegan"---be the respectable and informed vegan out to change the world.
